BILLABLE EXPENSES
These are the charges that will appear on the Bentley student account. Bentley approved study abroad programs follow the Bentley home school tuition policy.
NON BILLABLE EXPENSES
Students pay “non-billable” expenses independently. These expenses are not billed by Bentley. The non-billable expenses included here are ESTIMATES. Many of these expenses will vary based on personal preferences and local factors. Consult materials provided by the host university or program, and speak with peer advisors for more details.
HOUSING
Bentley does not bill housing fees for this program. Students select housing independently and are responsible for making housing payments directly to the housing provider. Students who choose to live in Gianicolo Residents will pay on average $1,350 more than the Viale Trastevere Apartments and External Apartments. Students who wish to stay in a single will pay an extra cost as well.
Students will be expected to make an early housing deposit of $1,000 to reserve their accommodations the semester before their program begins. Deposits for the fall semester will be due in April and deposits for spring will be due in October.
Students who rely on financial aid to pay for housing must prepare that may need to pay housing deposits before their financial aid is dispersed. Please speak with your study abroad advisor if you have questions.
STUDENT VISA
Students are required to obtain a student visa that will cost $56. They will also need to pay for their Permit of Stay upon arrival in Italy, which costs approx. $200.
PERSONAL EXPENSES
The total amount varies depending on the student's spending habits and needs. Personal expenses may include optional tours, excursions, and/or entertainment activities, personal purchases, utilities/internet, cell phone/SIM Card, etc.Valid for Fall 2023. Updated May 2023.
