BILLABLE EXPENSES
These are the charges that will appear on the Bentley student account.  Bentley approved study abroad programs follow the Bentley home school tuition policy.         

Bentley bills $175 for international insurance. Your insurance will be provided by your provider.

NON BILLABLE EXPENSES

Students pay “non-billable” expenses independently.  These expenses are not billed by Bentley.  The non-billable expenses included here are ESTIMATES.  Many of these expenses will vary based on personal preferences and local factors. Consult materials provided by the host university or program, and speak with peer advisors for more details.

HOUSING
Bentley does not bill housing fees for this program.  Students select their preferred cabin type, and are responsible for making housing payments directly to the Semester at Sea.  Cabin pricing can be higher or lower based on your cabin preference and availability.

SEMESTER AT SEA DEPOSIT
Students will not be immediately responsible to pay Semester at Sea's $1000 enrollment deposit. Due to the agreement with SAS, Bentley students will only pay the $500 enrollment deposit to Bentley to ensure their spot. However, if a student withdraws from SAS, they will be held responsible for the $1000 enrollment deposit. 

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM COSTS
Students will be charged a $1550 fuel fee by Semester at Sea, paid to the program directly, and is subject to change per voyage
Students should estimate approx $5000 for Personal travel and Field Programs 
Students should budget approx $500 for Immunizations, depending on voyage locations 

PERSONAL EXPENSES
The total amount varies depending on the student's spending habits and needs. Personal expenses may include entry/exit fees, residency fees, activity/student union fees, optional tours, excursions, and/or volunteer activities, utilities/internet, cell phone/SIM Card, etc.
