The Cronin Office of International Education encourages full-time Bentley faculty members to apply for funding to participate in international development opportunities. The fund is designed to support Bentley faculty members with up to a $2500 grant to participate in the following activities:
- Traveling abroad to develop a new faculty-led international course
- Attending a workshop or conference aimed at internationalizing your teaching
- Providing a stipend for living expenses while teaching abroad at one of our partner universities
First priority will be given to faculty members who are interested in developing a new faculty-led international course.
The International Citizens Group Faculty Development Fund is provided by the generosity of Joe Cronin, Sr., the fifth President of Bentley University, and Joe Cronin, Jr., MBA ’94, the President of the International Citizens Group. Joe Cronin, Sr. was a champion of internationalism, doubling the number of international students enrolled during his tenure. Bentley’s Cronin Office of International Education is named in his honor. The International Citizens Group is a specialized international health insurance agency offering world class insurance plans to those living and traveling around the world. Joe Cronin, Jr. is a BC High, Georgetown University, and Bentley University graduate who lives in Hingham, MA with his wife and three children. He ranks his faculty-led international course to Japan as one of his most powerful educational experiences.
