Program Description:
Visit Paris, Lyon, and Normandy, and take a deep dive into the historical sites and cities where the Nazi army invaded and occupied France during World War II. We will tour major World War II museums, memorials, the hiding places of the French Resistance, and the Normandy beaches where the 1944 D-Day landings took place. We will speak to veteran associations, French university students, and museum guides to take a deep dive into France’s World War II heritage. Come visit the monuments and buildings where Nazi officers installed central command centers and the prisons where Jews were detained before deportation to the camps. We will also visit Mont Saint-Michel nearby, a UN heritage site.
