Since May 2015.
Tell us about why you chose a career in International Education at Bentley.
Studying abroad was such a transformative experience for me that I knew immediately I wanted to pursue this as a profession. I have always loved to travel and explore new cultures, and I wanted to share this with others. Helping students step outside their comfort zones is the best part about this job!
Where have you lived/traveled/worked/studied abroad?
In college I studied abroad in Paris, France and have traveled throughout Europe. Most recently, I backpacked through Costa Rica practicing my terrible Spanish!
Advice for students studying abroad:
Don’t get your coffee at Starbucks! As hard as it is to avoid, take the opportunity to try the local coffee and tea. You might just discover you love the slow pace of a café or the boldness of an authentic shot of espresso. Studying abroad is all about experiencing new things, so don’t hold back. The more you put into your semester abroad, the more you will grow to love your host culture!
